You are driving cross country to see family for the
holidays. At first snow flurries just
make white grainy rivers of powder on the highway. But then the tiny powder flakes come harder,
faster, and bigger. Now you are caught
in a full snowstorm. You adjust your speed for conditions. But as the snow worsens visibility is
decreased and you are forced to drive even slower. Now you are just crawling
along. You try to adjust your headlights
to penetrate the white gloom but this only makes it worse. You know it's time to get off the road but
where? You can barely see the end of your hood.
The highway, once easily recognized is little more than a white
indentation in the horizon. Then it is
